I completed my PhD in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Cantabria (Spain) in 2023, where I worked in the Genomic Analysis of Tumour Development Group (IBBTEC, Santander). Later that year, I joined the Evolutionary Immunogenomics Group at the Institute of Cancer Research (London, UK) as a Postdoctoral Training Fellow. Since July 2025, I have been funded by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, carrying out my research jointly at the ICR and the Computational Cancer Biology team at UCL. My current research focuses on understanding how the immune system shapes tumour progression and the development of new immunogenomic-based metrics with prognostic value, that is, with the capacity to predict response to specific treatments, ultimately improve patient survival. Beyond my research, I am actively involved in the Postdoc Committee at the ICR, overseeing travel bursary applications, the postdoc group of the Spanish Association for Cancer Research (ASEICA), I am an Ambassador of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), and I lead the Outreach and Public Engagement Department from SRUK/CERU. Outside the lab, I enjoy travelling, discovering new places, training and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
